Govt. Industrial Training Institute, Rajkot, established in 1958,  is the largest and the oldest Industrial Training Institute of Saurashtra and Kutchh region of the western state of Gujarat in India. It boasts of being located in the oldest and the biggest Industrial Estate of Saurashtra and Kutchh, i.e. Aji Industrial estate. it is strategically situated on the junction of National Highway of Ahmedabad - Porbandar and State Highway of Rajkot - Bhavanagar.

            The state of Gujarat is blessed with geographical advantages in having  nearly 1900 KM. sea shore which is the largest amongst all Indian States. Since time immemorial, Gujarati entrepreneurs have exploited the vast potential of sea routes in trading with countries of African continent even when western world had not known India.
